I started an inspiration board with elements I feel have a lot of impact
for me on some of the sites you gave us. I'd love to see anything that
grabs you guys specifically as well. Plus, I know that Mackenzie has
already started sketching a few ideas she has :)
I also started tossing elements in the Immersity color family onto varied backgrounds like a sandbox....
The bottom left are colors and elements pulled directly from the current
site. The other 3 sections play with a plain white background, a
gradient with a mid blue to white background and a section with a mid to
dark tone gradient. I then just placed a bunch of elements that had
similar styles to some I found online. I focused on plain, gradient and
color overlay photos and also on circles. The thoughts behind this were
that I read the current trends (but not fads) for 2022 web looks include
a lot of white backgrounds with simple crisp images & graphics. It
also said gradients, whether as backgrounds or as image overlays are to
be considered at this time. I gathered you agree since you used them in
the original website so I built off that idea but with varied tones. I
used some circles because the curves help the pages feel less "grid
like" and because I thought it might be nice to pull from the circle on
the dots in the Immesity logo. It doesn't have to be circles, there
could be more organic curves or angled lines like you see in other
samples. I just went with circles today because of a sketch Mackenzie
showed me the other night and the Immersity logo.
I know this is all very rough and I don't mean to put the cart before
the horse with wireframes still in process, but I couldn't stop thinking
about aesthetics, and with our accelerated time-frame for this project,
I figured we could just start brainstorming when the creative mood
strikes us and share as that occurs organically over the next week or
two when we need breaks from the structure mindset.
I hope this is ok to share at this time.
